Samsung, or rather its most important division, Samsung Electronics, ranked a little worse than last year in this year's ranking of the world's largest technology companies according to Forbes magazine. In particular, it fell from 2nd to 4th place and thus returns to the position from 2020.

Samsung Electronics was overtaken by three American companies, namely Apple, Alphabet and Microsoft. Tencent, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Cisco and IBM also make up the top ten.

According to Forbes, Samsung Electronics recorded sales of $244,2 billion (approximately CZK 5,8 trillion) and its market value was $367,3 billion (approximately CZK 8,7 trillion). From year to year, the market value of the company decreased by 143,2 billion dollars (about 3,4 trillion CZK). Fortunately, however, its sales increased year-on-year by 44 billion (roughly CZK 1,04 trillion).

As regards Apple, its sales reached 378,7 billion dollars (approximately 8,9 trillion CZK) and a market value of 2,6 trillion dollars (about 61,4 trillion CZK), Alphabet (which includes e.g. Google) reported revenues of $257,5 billion (roughly CZK 6,08 trillion) and its market value was $1,6 trillion (approximately CZK 37,8 trillion) and Microsoft recorded sales of $184,9 billion (just under 4,4 .2,1 trillion CZK) and its market value reached 49,6 trillion dollars (roughly XNUMX trillion CZK). So we can only hope that Samsung will score points with the series Galaxy S22, Tab S8 and a new generation of jigsaws so that sales once again lift it to medal positions.
