Samsung has started producing commercial microLED displays at its factory in Slovakia. The Korean tech giant has previously produced Neo QLED and QLED TVs at this factory.

To meet the growing global demand, Samsung decided to start production of commercial microLED screens. To this end, it has already started manufacturing microLED displays in its Vietnam and Mexico factories. The commercial version of Samsung's microLED displays is mainly used in shopping malls, airports, retail and also for outdoor advertising. Previous reports indicated that Samsung plans to start production of 89-inch microLED TVs this month. However, according to the latest reports, the start of their production has been postponed to the third quarter of this year due to production problems.

Since the 89-inch variant uses smaller microLED chips, the manufacturing process is more difficult and defects are more likely to occur. Samsung probably wants to further optimize the manufacturing process before starting mass production of this microLED TV.
