At the end of April, we informed you about the introduction of Huawei's new "puzzle" called Mate Xs 2. Now the former smartphone giant said that its flexible novelty will soon arrive in international markets. Specifically, this is supposed to happen next month.
As a reminder: Mate Xs 2 is equipped with a flexible OLED display with a size of 7,8 inches, a resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. When folded, it has a diagonal of 6,5 inches. Since the display opens outwards, it does not create a notch, which is rare in the world of foldable smartphones. The body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, ultra-thin fiberglass and super-resistant steel, and is only 5,4mm thin (unfolded). The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, which is paired with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory.

The camera is triple with a resolution of 50, 8 and 13 MPx, while the second is a telephoto lens with 3x optical and 30x digital zoom and optical image stabilization, and the third is a "wide-angle" with a 120° angle of view. The front camera, hidden in the upper right corner, has a resolution of 10 MPx. The equipment includes a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, NFC and an infrared port. There is also support for a stylus, specifically the one labeled Huawei M-Pen 2s. The battery has a capacity of 4600 mAh and supports 66W fast charging (according to the manufacturer, it charges from 0 to 90% in 30 minutes). The HarmonyOS 2.0 system takes care of the software operation.

Mate Xs 2 will be sold on the European market for a really high 1 euros, i.e. approx. 999 CZK, in the 49/300 GB variant. There will be a choice of black, white and purple color variants. We'd say so Galaxy There is nothing to fear about the Fold3, because its Chinese competitor is more expensive, does not support 5G networks, is not as powerful and equipped, and last but not least, it lacks increased resistance, but it is still important that there will be another important competition. Because the Huawei P50 Pocket is already available on the Czech market, i.e. competition for Galaxy From Flip, it can be expected that this news will also be available here.
A beautiful piece of hardware. Too bad the missing Google services. And it could be a bit smaller.
Paradoxically, the absence of Google could be an advantage for some :-). Sizes are then subjective. The user will certainly get used to it.
