Galaxy Flip4 "emerged" in the popular Geekbench 5 benchmark, which, among other things, revealed, or rather confirmed, previous speculations. It will indeed be powered by Qualcomm's next flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+.

According to the Geekbench 8 database, the Snapdragon 1 Gen 5+ has one processor core clocked at 3,19 GHz (Cortex-X2), three cores clocked at 2,75 GHz (Cortex-A710) and four cores clocked at 1,8 GHz (Cortex- A510). The chip is apparently manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process.

In addition, the benchmark revealed that the Flip4 will have 8 GB of RAM (a variant with a higher capacity is likely to be available) and that the software will run on Androidu 12. Otherwise, the phone scored 1277 points in the single-core test and 3642 points in the multi-core test.

According to unofficial reports, the next Flip will get a slightly larger exterior display, a 120Hz flexible display, a slightly thinner body, a battery with a capacity of 3400 or 3700 mAh and support for 25W fast charging and should be offered in four colors. Along with another upcoming "bender" from Samsung Galaxy ZFold4 should be released in August or September.
