The seventh generation of the globally popular Xiaomi Mi Band smart bracelet will go on sale today. More precisely, so far in China. Traditionally, it will be offered in a standard version and a version with NFC.

At the moment, it is not known how much the Mi Band 7 will sell for in China, but its predecessor was sold for 230 yuan in the standard version and 280 yuan in the version with NFC. In Europe, it cost 45, or 55 euros (roughly 1 and 100 CZK). It can be expected that the novelty will cost "plus or minus" the same.

The new generation of the smart bracelet promises a number of improvements, the most obvious of which is a larger display. Specifically, the device has a diagonal of 1,62 inches, which is 0,06 inches more than the "six" display. According to Xiaomi, the usable screen area has increased by a quarter, which it says will make it easier to check health and exercise data. Monitoring of blood oxygenation (SpO2) has also been improved. The bracelet now monitors SpO2 values throughout the day and vibrates if they fall below 90%. This could help users deal with things like snoring or sleep apnea.

The bracelet also boasts a training load calculator based on the metabolic indicator EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption), calculated from the last 7 days. The calculator will advise the user on how much rest they should take to recover from training and will also serve as a guide for gaining muscle or losing fat. According to unofficial reports, the Mi Band 7 will also feature Always-On, GPS or smart alarms. At the moment, it is not known when the new product will reach international markets, but it can be assumed that we will have to wait for it for a month or so. Xiaomi also boasted that more than 140 million of its smart bracelets have already been sold worldwide.
