Globally popular WhatsApp has been working on improving group chats for some time. Last month, it launched a feature called Communities where users can add different groups with similar interests under one roof. It is now preparing a feature that will allow users to silently leave groups.

As the WhatsApp specialized website WABetaInfo reported, only he and its administrators will be notified that the user has left the group. No other people in the group will receive this information.

The new feature is currently only available in WhatsApp Desktop Beta. However, according to the site, it will soon be made available on all platforms, incl Androidu, iOS, Mac and the web. In addition to this, WhatsApp is preparing a number of other features.

For example, it will soon be possible to send files up to 2 GB or make group calls with up to 32 participants. There are also plans to increase the group limit up to 512 members, which is double the current status.
