You might not even know it, but Samsung devices offer an interesting feature called Emergency Mode. It combines not only a simplified environment, certain security functions, but also tries to prevent your device from running out of power. You can still work with it, but the mode tries to place only minimal demands on the battery.
Emergency mode offers its own interface. The home screen will be changed to Dark mode to save battery power, the display brightness will be reduced, the frame rate will be reduced if it is higher than 60 Hz, you will still be able to use Messages, Contacts and Emergency calls, but other functions will be limited accordingly. But you will also still have access to the web browser. So this feature helps to ensure longer battery life while sending informace about your location to the selected contact. But you can easily bypass this by not selecting the contact.
How to activate Emergency Mode
- Go to Settings.
- Choose an offer Safety and emergency situations.
- Click on Emergency mode.
- Toggle the switch to On.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
The Emergency Mode is then activated, which will take some time as the interface has to be modified. Emergency mode lets you use your Phone, share your location, or browse the web in the Samsung Internet app. You also have offers here, such as Flashlight to activate the flashlight or Emergency alarm. Note that you also see a time in the top right that shows the estimated battery life. In our case, the time at 76% battery capacity jumped from 1 day and 12 hours (according to informace from Battery and device care) for 6 days and 4 hours. You can deactivate the mode via the menu of three dots on the top right. You can also adjust the icon order here or go to the limited Interface Settings.
This will give you access to Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth connectivity, you can activate Airplane mode, manage mobile networks and Location here. However, it is also possible to adjust the volume, brightness of the display or use various Facilitation. You can also activate the emergency mode by holding down the power button for a long time Turn off or Restarting you just choose i Emergency mode.
Only the power saving mode will help a lot and it is not so limited (70% CPU, 60Hz, reduced brightness...). The environment will not change.
Yes, of course that one will help, but when she is in trouble, this is the solution for her.
I also know one trick and that is turning off the mobile phone! This will extend the battery life for several weeks!
Mainly turn off location search in the background via bluetooth and wifi.. that's the worst part
Thanks for the tip
Why is everyone always dealing with stamina?😮💨
I'll charge overnight and drive right?
And if I'm out of charge? Out in the wild and need my phone to last me through the weekend?
