So it's official. Xiaomi has introduced the next generation of its most popular fitness bracelet. The design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 does not significantly change the form factor used in previous years, but customers do not buy the Mi Band for its appearance, but for its functions.
Known leaks were more or less confirmed. There is therefore a 1,62" AMOLED display, which has increased by 25% compared to the previous version. The battery also got bigger, which, on the other hand, is larger by a dizzying 44% and thus has a value of 180 mAh. It means it will supply juice to your bracelet for 14 days. You can then measure sports activity in more than a hundred sports.

Continuous blood oxygenation
However, the manufacturer has improved the measurement of blood oxygenation, where this function measures it continuously and alerts you with a notification if it drops below 90%. It goes without saying that it is water resistant up to 50 m. Also interesting is the training load calculator, which the device calculates from the last seven days and whose task is to help you with rest and regeneration. But it should also help with losing weight or gaining muscle mass. The voice assistant Xiao AI is interesting. The bracelet will be available in two versions, i.e. with or without NFC. However, Xiaomi Pay is also available here and some banks already support it.

Everything else is new from previous versions. Thanks to the accompanying application, it will be possible to connect both with devices Android, so with iPhones. In the first case, the condition is version 6.0, in the second iOS 10.0. Xiaomi is thus heading relatively far into history and wants to provide its device to as many potential users as possible. And that's why this series is so successful.
Since Xiaomi Mi Band 7 has already been officially presented, the manufacturer also mentioned the prices of the bracelet. For the version without NFC in China, you will pay approx. 840 CZK, that is without tax and other fees. The version with NFC would cost you 940 CZK, again without tax and fees. When the news reaches us as well, as it should happen during the summer, the prices should be around 1 CZK or 190 CZK.
So I expected a little more, for example GPS. The bracelet is able to measure data differently when I turn on the activity on the bracelet with a connected phone or when I turn on the activity directly in the app on the phone. Otherwise, satisfaction cheap bracelet decent with what is needed.
GPS would have to pay for price and durability, and the manufacturer is trying to avoid that. This series will probably have to do without this technology in future generations as well.
It's interesting how every year for several years there has been speculation that GPS is certain this time. This is how I once waited for a four... 😁
