The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been going on for more than three months. Even though Ukraine suffered heavy losses in the war, it still manages to defend its territory. A significant element of this is the fight against disinformation to ensure that people inside and outside the country are informed about what is really happening in the country. One of the companies helping Ukraine in this is Google, which has now received Ukraine's first "Peace Prize" for its efforts.

Karan Bhatia, Google's vice president of government affairs and public policy, confirmed the news. He received the award from Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov (acting President Volodymyr Zelenskyi). The American technology giant was awarded a plaque with the colors of Ukraine and the Google logo. The text on the plaque reads: "On behalf of the Ukrainian people, with gratitude for the assistance during this pivotal moment in our nation's history."

Google helped Ukraine a lot during the war and continues to do so. For example, he has set up a center in his browser that provides accurate informace users looking for news about the war situation there. In this regard, Google Messages has also helped significantly.

In addition, the company launched in the country warnings from airstrikes and shelling and helps to protect it from (not only Russian) cyber attacks. And finally, it helps raise money for Ukraine to help people displaced by the war.
