Although Galaxy The S22 Ultra has IP68 resistance, an Armor Aluminum frame and boasts Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back, but that certainly doesn't mean it's indestructible. Its high purchase price then tempts you to protect it a little more than just using the manufacturer's technology. The PanzerGlass Biodegradable Case cover is also environmentally friendly.

Galaxy The S22 Ultra is a technology-packed phone that costs a hefty 32 CZK in its basic version. For that reason too, it would annoy one if they coincide with you, even if they scratch. At the outset, it must be said that the PanzerGlass Biodegradable Case is not a robust cover that would be suitable for extreme conditions. On the other hand, it is more suitable for normal daily use.

Use and compost

In 2000, the European standard EN 13432 was introduced. It was created for the purpose of testing the biodegradability or compostability of plastic products. It thus defines scientific methods for the detection of biodegradability. Products that carry this standard have been tested in accordance with it and are certified and authorized to use this mark.

What does it mean? That you can use such products, and as soon as they expire for some reason, you simply throw them into the compost containing biological waste. After three months, you will find only 10% of the product's original weight in it. 90% biodegradability is then achieved in 6 months. And the PanzerGlass Biodegradable Case carries this standard.

The manufacturer therefore guarantees that the entire solution is 100% compostable. So, as soon as the cover stops being fun for you, you simply throw it in the compost and in no time you will find any remains of it in it. Such composting does not have negative effects on the composting process itself and does not leave a higher than permitted amount of heavy metals in the compost, as well as has no toxic effects on plant growth.

Buy Better. Use longer. Waste less

So the cover will give your device, even other phone models than the one we had it available for testing because it's available on more smartphones, basic protection. It is pleasantly soft, so putting it on the device, as well as taking it off, is a matter of seconds. In both cases, the manufacturer recommends starting with the camera area, where the material is of course the softest.

Although the cover is listed as black, it's actually more like velvet. Thanks to the material used, it changes its color and structure slightly as you run your finger over it. The material itself is really pleasant and has the advantage of only minimally catching dust particles.

Of course, there is support for wireless charging, there are also all important passages for microphones, speakers, a USB-C connector and the S Pen, which is very convenient to remove from the device, even if you have it in this cover. The larger cross-section around it is to blame. The volume buttons and side button are also hidden, and the cover offers grooved outputs instead. The manufacturer's logo is included below them, the SIM card drawer is completely covered.

Clear sympathy

Again, the space for the camera lenses is not divided, but there is only one large opening, which is a bit of a shame also for reasons of aesthetics. Due to the curvature of the display, the cover extends only at the top and bottom. The price of this solution is CZK 699. You can get cheaper covers as well as more expensive ones. You can get more durable ones, but the PanzerGlass Biodegradable Case clearly appeals to ecological souls who are not indifferent to the fate of our planet.

In the end, this is a very nice cover that you won't regret using. The dimensions of your device won't grow with it, the weight won't increase drastically, and when it's done, you know there won't be anything left in the world.
