The price of fuel fluctuates constantly. It is influenced by many factors, currently the most important is the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The Waze application also shows gas stations with their prices, so you can choose the cheapest one in the area without unnecessarily driving kilometers.
How to set preferred fuel in Waze
By setting the preferred fuel, the application will subsequently present its prices to you, so it is advisable to set it in the first step.
- choose My Waze.
- Click the icon in the top left Settings (gear symbol).
- Choose Gas station.
- Click on Preferred fuel type.
- Specify your preferred fuel type.
Sort stations by preference
Proposal Gas station offers another option Preferred Brand, if you want to select a particularly popular gas station network from the list. If not, you can keep it All gas stations. But you will find another option below Sort stations by.
Regarding the price of fuel, it is advisable to set an offer here Price (Distance is the base). Then, when you search for stations, they will be sorted according to the price of your preferred fuel and not according to how far they are from you. So you won't have to search them for the cheapest one, because it will be at the top of the list.

Click in the field Where?. Select from the list here Gas station. They will then be shown not only on the map, but also in the list. Since the basis of the application is the community, it matters how active the community is when updating prices. It is therefore not possible to rely 100% on the displayed data. But the good thing is that the title also shows you when the price was last updated. So if you see a longer period of time, it is obvious that these are no longer current prices.
The cheapest gasoline navigation
You can also see the distance for individual stations. Click on a station to view detailed information about it informace, where you can already see the prices of other fuels, or if it is currently open. There are also contacts, or even an offer JET. When you tap on it, the app will navigate you directly to the gas station step-by-step.
