Today's mobile devices are so smart that they can communicate with your computer via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cloud services so that you can pretty much avoid using a cable. However, there are still situations when you need to know how to connect a mobile phone to a PC via USB. This is necessary when dragging photos, or if you want to upload new music to the device's memory or its memory card. Of course, such processes are faster when using a cable.
Connecting a mobile phone to a computer via a cable is actually a very simple step, which has the advantage of not having to set up or activate anything. In addition, the data cable is still part of the packaging of new phones, so you can find it directly in its box. If you don't have it, it's no problem to buy it for a few crowns. However, it can differ in its terminals, where on the one hand it will typically contain USB-A or USB-C and on the other hand, i.e. the one you connect to the mobile phone, microUSB, USB-C or Lightning, which are used exclusively by phones iPhone.
Once the phone to PC with Windows you connect, it will usually report to you as a new device. This will then display the option on the phone whether you want to use charging or just transfer files and photos. Of course, the dialogues differ depending on which phone, which manufacturer and which system Android you use. The second option opens it on the PC as another device, so you can work here in the classic way you work with folders and files on your computer - you can create, delete, copy, etc. However, a computer connection is not always needed. If you use a computer, for example, to connect to a printer (i.e. you first send a file from your mobile phone to e-mail or drag it over the cable to the computer and then print), know that can print from a mobile phone even directly. Therefore, consider whether there is another and faster option in some cases.
Nice guide, but useless to me, I have iphone 13 mini, after connecting to the PC and agreeing the connection, I can only get to the photos folder, but the only thing I can do is copy the photos from the phone to the PC, but the opposite way is not possible! The worst thing is that I can't even get into the directory structure of the phone from the phone! I don't understand why all this on androidu worked without problems!
