Samsung has started developing firmware for its next "benders" Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. It means that everything is going according to plan and that their introduction is really not too far away.

Test build for Galaxy Z Fold4 carries the firmware label F936NKSU0AVF2, with Flip4 it is F721NKSU0AVF2. As work on the firmware for both devices progresses, expect more test builds to appear in the coming weeks.

According to unofficial reports and various indications, the next Fold will have a 7,6-inch Super AMOLED flexible display with QXGA+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6,2-inch external display with HD+ resolution and the same frequency as the main display. It has a tepat chipset inside Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which is said to be accompanied by up to 16 GB of operating memory and up to 512 GB of internal memory. As for the Flip4, it will reportedly also be equipped with the latest high-end Snapdragon chip, compared to its predecessor with larger external display, a battery with a capacity of 3400 or 3700 mAh and support for 25W fast charging and should be available in four colors. Both phones are likely to be unveiled in August or September.
