Last week, the Samsung Health app got its first beta version One UI Watch 4.5 new update which confirmed, that the next generation of watches Galaxy Watch will not include the Classic model. Now it has come to light that a new setting has appeared in the app that suggests that Galaxy Watch5 could finally get a thermometer function after all.

A few months ago, a report hit the airwaves that suggested Samsung was going to Galaxy Watch5 add a sensor to measure body temperature. A few weeks later it was followed by another, which claimed that the Korean giant really wanted to add this technology to its watches, but had problems with the programming of the temperature reading algorithm, which causes the function to be delayed. But maybe in the end it will be completely different. On Reddit because now an image has appeared that shows a new switch in Samsung Health called Skin temperature during sleep (skin temperature during sleep).

As you know, existing Galaxy Watch4 lack hardware to read body temperature, which means Samsung is going to add the software component necessary for reading temperature to One UI Watch 4.5 for future models Galaxy Watch. If the function for Galaxy Watch5 available at launch, however, is still unclear. However, considering that Samsung has been making health functions available later in some of its watches in recent years (see e.g. Galaxy Watch3 and ECG function), it is more likely that Galaxy Watch5 will wait a while for their body temperature to be measured after they have been issued.
