Samsung has made some marketing gaffes in the past, including sending out official Twitter posts promoting some of its iPhone phones. Now it seems that he has made such a mistake again. Again he referred to iPhone, this time in its Samsung Members app. The website informed about it TizenHelp.

Samsung's community manager in South Korea posted a banner in the Samsung Members app to advertise One UI Galaxy Themes. However, the banner shows several themes not on the phone Galaxy, but on a stylized iPhone model. This model appears to be a rough representation of the iPhone X, 11 or 12.

It almost looks like the person who created the banner, the device Galaxy she didn't know. However, she could hardly act as the community manager of Samsung. iPhones, especially models with a cutout in the display, have a distinctive design that is easy to recognize. Because of this, the iPhone's generic design is often used as a "placeholder" in advertisements for third-party apps. In this case, however, this design seems particularly inappropriate to the point of embarrassment.

If nothing else, such fumbles can give Apple fans ammunition against Samsung customers. They may now become an object of ridicule from their side, and it will not help the media image of the Korean giant either. Why the unfortunate mishap occurred is unclear, and we'll probably never know.
