At the end of last week, we informed you about the marketing misstep a Samsung community manager who posted a banner ad with a generic iPhone image in the Samsung Members app. The Korean giant has now acknowledged the mistake and corrected the banner design. The website pointed it out Android Authority.

Trade representative Galaxy Store released the following statement on Samsung's official community forum: "Hello, here he is Galaxy Store. The responsible person made a mistake in the process of modifying the design source file. The banner image will be edited and replaced today. Thank you for your interest in our services Galaxy. We will always try to improve them.'' And indeed, the banner now shows a generic one instead of the phone with a wide cutout typical of the last generations of iPhone androidphone with a circular hole.

The community manager in question probably used generic images and resources to create the promotional banner without realizing that they were linking to iPhone. Similar marketing missteps are not an exception for other large technology companies, but one would expect the global smartphone number one to be careful about something like this. Obviously no one checked that community manager.
