Recently, complaints from users of the series phones have started appearing in the airwaves Galaxy S20 to a problem with their display, specifically a green, pink or white thin line appearing vertically across the screen. This is not the first time that some users have reported problems with the display of Samsung's flagship series from last year. Problems of this type appeared almost immediately after its launch and took the form of a green shade displays.
From posts on Twitter (see for example <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a> whether <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>) indicates that this is probably a hardware issue, and if it's yours Galaxy S20 is suffering, Samsung will fix it for you. But only if it's still under warranty, of course. But if not, you're probably out of luck, because the Korean smartphone giant doesn't have to do practically anything for free after the legal deadline.
It's unclear at this time how severe the new display problems are Galaxy S20 extended. Anyway, similar problems have occurred before on older models such as Galaxy S7. And what about you? You have experienced this problem on yours Galaxy S20? Let us know in the comments.
I traded in my S20 Plus for an S22 Ultra in February this year, however I haven't had a display problem in two years of owning the S20...
Thanks for the comment and experience.
I have to admit that I read this article about a year ago. And as an S20 owner, I haven't noticed anything like that. It seems to me that they don't know what to write about anymore. And it's not just here.. Great day.
I have an S20 plus for 2,2 years. There was and is no problem with the display.
I've had it for 1,5, so far so good
I also have the display without any problems
I have had the phone for over 2 years and no problem
I've already had a Samsung S20 for the second year and everything is still OK
Also, I've had my S20 for 2 years now and no problem with it
Samsung Galaxy I've had the S20 for about a year and a half, the phone has x crazy files. The always on display has the same brightness in the sun as in the dark. If I put it face down on the bedside table, it shines on the table all night (instead of the sensor turning it off). The flashlight is a category by itself - when I start the tracker in the maps, I take a few photos that I send via WhatsApp, the procik melts to the extreme and in 2-3 hours the flashlight is at zero (a great phone for trips). The fingerprint reader is so good that I often have to open the phone with a code, etc., etc. But the display is good so far 🙂
S22 5g after 2 months of complaints when looking at the browser the signal was lost and for 3s and then it started and sometimes it was not possible to call even though the signal was there, overall the 22 is not much better than the s21. I change my phone every year since s6, but I'm considering how the phone comes from the complaint, I'm counting on the fact that they'll write that the defect didn't show up, and that's why I'm probably considering switching to ap... after xxxxxx years with Samsung
My spare S7 EDGE stopped working this year after the last security update. Samsung told me to throw it away when they heard how it happened. I think Sansung ensures the sale of new MTs.
Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S20. After less than a year of use, I had exactly this problem in September 2022 - out of nowhere, my phone froze. After restarting, it did start, but with stripes on the side. I immediately took the phone in for a complaint, which they did not want to accept at Orange, because my phone fell about two months after the purchase and a piece of the screen broke in the corner of mine. However, the mobile continued to work perfectly until the fateful day in September 2022. Today I received a statement from Orange that my claim was rejected. No reason for rejection is given. Tomorrow I want to ask Orange to send the mobile phone for a professional assessment, to which I am legally entitled. I read on the Internet that Samsung will remove the error for free on mobile phones under warranty. Please, don't you know where I should turn when Orange does not want to cooperate in processing the complaint to my satisfaction?
