Google has focused more than usual attention on widgets in the last year. Whether it's a redesign of the classic analog clock, or new tools to track everything from restaurants in your neighborhood to your current battery status, it's clear that widgets are all the rage at the American tech giant right now. Now they get a new (and very useful) widget of his Maps.

Unlike previous Maps home screen shortcuts that focused mainly on quickly loading your favorite places, the new widget is a map that continuously updates to show local traffic conditions in your area. It is even possible to zoom in and out of the map with a single click of a button (of course without having to open the application itself). The widget will be available in the coming weeks, according to Google.

Google Maps has recently received a number of new features, such as a new mode, improved mode Street View or the ability to track quality air. If the globally popular navigation app is your daily companion, you might appreciate this one article.
