Samsung isn't the only smartphone maker working on flexible clamshell phones. After launching its first foldable smartphone, the Razr, Motorola kind of disappeared from the "flexible" scene, but now it's making a big comeback with the third-generation Razr. Its success should be helped by a significantly lower price than previous models.

According to CompareDial, the Razr 3 will be sold in Europe for 1 euros (roughly CZK 149). That would be 28 euros less than what its predecessor Razr 400G went on sale for. In addition, the next Razr should be a regular flagship, unlike the previous two models.

The Razr 3 will reportedly feature a chipset Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, a 6,7-inch internal AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3-inch external display, 12 GB of operational and 512 GB of internal memory and a dual camera with a resolution of 50 and 13 MPx. Of course, it will not lack support for 5G networks or a fingerprint reader. But it should only be available in one color, black.

Samsung's next flexible clamshell Galaxy Z-Flip4 will probably sell for $999 (about CZK 23), so it should be cheaper than the third Razr, but it will have a significant disadvantage compared to it: a significantly smaller external display. It is not yet clear whether the next-generation Razr will feature water resistance. If not, the next Flip will surely have the upper hand.
