Samsung Pay is typically associated with smartphones Galaxy. However, owners of other phones can also enjoy the mobile payment app, especially those who use it with them Galaxy Watch, which are not tied only to the products of the South Korean manufacturer (e.g. as is the case with Apple and its Apple Watch). However, many are now complaining about the service not working.

According to the posts on Reddit and Samsung Members forum, some users started getting an error message in the Samsung Pay app saying that their ID is not valid. Of course, they did not adjust it in any way, and until then everything worked perfectly for them. When some inquired about their issue directly with Samsung, they were told that Samsung Pay would no longer work on other brands of smartphones.

But it is very strange, and it is a question whether it is not just a mistake and a mistake informace from Samsung representatives. Such a big step should be officially announced by Samsung at least a few months before the end of support. Owners of the current generation do not avoid problems either Galaxy Watch4 to Watch4 Classic.

At the same time, all users of other phone brands agree that before this problem Samsung Pay worked for them in combination with Galaxy Watch totally fine. Interest in mobile payments via Samsung Pay has already waned after the company stopped equipping its phones with the MST system, and if it were to make its service exclusively for phones Galaxy, will lose even more users and it would surely be the first step towards its end.

Update:

Samsung has started releasing an update that should fix the problem. Samsung Pay will therefore continue to be used in the way we are used to.
