We've been waiting two years for a streaming platform from Disney. It has finally arrived in the Czech Republic and we can already enjoy its Star Wars and Marvel comics in one place. But there are a few details. The Disney+ offer is comprehensive, but it could still be a little better.
Of course, we couldn't resist and subscribed to Disney+. However, as we gradually go through the offer, we discover a few regularities that may not please everyone. So here you will find the individual sections of the platform with what they have to offer. At the outset, it must be said that even though it all looks pompous, you can get lost here quite easily.
The fundamental ailment of the platform is that, even if you have recommended ones, you won't find any chronological order of newly added content. You will easily come across the fact that you would like to look at the news, but you have to find it yourself. For example, on Wednesday, June 22, the sequel to Doctor Strange premieres here. However, the application does not alert you to it in advance, at the same time you cannot add it to the list or set it to download automatically as soon as the image is available.

Disney
Live and animated films produced by Disney offer summer blockbusters and interesting series. From new movies, you can find here, for example, Expedition: Jungle, Cruella, or Quick Company. However, the production also includes such hits as Pirates of the Caribbean, Treasure Hunter, the Narnia series, Frozen and much more.
Pixar
Pixar isn't one of those studios that churns out tons of titles. But what he does produce is usually of the highest quality, and that's why he's also won numerous awards for his animated efforts, Oscary without exception. Here you will not find complete content from the company's inception, including the biggest hits, such as the Toy Story series, Cars, Příšerky s.r.o., as well as many derivative series. Interesting is the Pixar collection over the years, which guides you through the gradual creation of the studio.
Marvel
The universe of Marel is quite large and you should find all its components here. They should, but you won't find it. Sorting is definitely interesting, when you can go through this world chronologically, i.e. not the way the individual acts were filmed, but how they are sorted in time. So you start with the First Avenger and continue through Captain Marvel. Sorting by stages is also nice, but you won't find anything from the independent Spider-man movie world here, because Sony owns the rights to it (but there are various animated series here, as well as Civil War or Avengers). This also applies to the Venom series. On Wednesday, June 22, Doctor Strange premieres here in the multiverse of madness.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a clear current hit. There are also both the Mandalorian and Boba Fett series. You can watch Star Wars in any order, but also chronologically from the first episode through Star Wars Story to the ninth episode. There are also animated series, which include The Rebels, The Clone Wars or Bad Batch. Everything in Czech dubbing.
National Geographic
National Geographic is about documentaries on various topics that stand out for their quality. You will look at the bottoms of the oceans and at the tops of the highest mountains, you will see the world through the eyes of Jeff Goldblum, but also the kitchen of Gordon Ramsay or the wilderness with Bar Grylls.
Star
The distribution of the Star platform brings current movie hits such as Death on the Nile, West Side Story, the Kings Man series, as well as The Walking Dead, The Simpsons, How I Met Your Mother (and Father), American Horror Stories and a ton of other content dating back to the distant past . The complete series of Aliens, Deathtraps and much more are needed here. But it is here that you can come across localization, because, for example, Komando is only available with Czech subtitles.

D+ didn't impress me. The very commercial sr…s that sooner or later appear on free air. Voyo is better for me and as a supplement to Netflix, Voyo focuses a lot on local and European production. Netflix has good series again.

And now to the point. The fact that most of the films from D+ appear on free-to-air broadcasts is completely normal and natural. These are mainly 20th century fox movies, etc. This also applies, of course, to HBO max in the case of WB, etc. I want content that is exclusive, and that is still Netflix and partially Voyo. Have a nice day and take care of yourself.
For 224 CZK for the whole year, it's a good buy, otherwise I wouldn't want D+. There are already too many streaming services…
