Shortly after Google at the conference Google I/O announced the (re)naming of the Google Pay app to Google Wallet, accompanied by expanded support for digital items, Samsung announced that it will merge the Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay apps into new called Samsung Wallet. While the "old" Google Wallet is not yet available, Samsung Wallet is now available for download in the Samsung Store.

If you have a compatible smartphone with Samsung Pay running on Androidfor 9 and above and you live in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, USA or South Korea where the new app is available, you can download it from the store Galaxy Store. Whether it will ever be made available in our country is not known at the moment (however, it is not very likely given that the Samsung Pay service did not work in the Czech Republic before).

Credit and debit cards, digital keys (for cars and homes), airline tickets, gift cards, health cards, login passwords, membership cards and cryptocurrencies can be stored in Samsung Wallet. All this data is securely stored thanks to the Samsung Knox system and is accessible via biometrics.
