Paid streaming services and operator IPTV offers saw a significant increase in the number of users on Samsung smart TVs last year. This follows from the statistics of the company Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, which published the figures found in its press release.  

IPTV services of mobile operators in the Czech and Slovak markets improved by 2021% year-on-year in 85, and paid streaming services by 80%. Music applications grew by 75%, classic IPTV services by 40%, while local news applications saw a year-on-year decline in interest of 15%. Last year Voyo.cz recorded the largest year-on-year increase compared to 2020 among streaming applications on Smart TVs from Samsung.

  • Voyo.cz – year-on-year increase of 170% 
  • Spotify – year-on-year increase of 110% 
  • T-Mobile TV, Cookies – year-on-year increase of 100% 
  • Netflix – year-on-year increase of 90% 
  • Amazon Prime Video, O2 TV, Telly – year-on-year increase of 80% 
  • Radio by myTuner – year-on-year increase of 60% 
  • HBO Max (formerly HBO GO), Apple TV+, Rakuten TV – year-on-year increase of 60% 
  • Dramox, Apple Music – year-on-year increase of 50% 

The range of applications in Samsung smart TVs is constantly expanding. This year, the streaming application HBO Max, which replaced HBO GO in March, was added, Oktagon.TV with live broadcasts and recordings of Oktagon matches, and JOJplay with a live stream of the channels of the Slovak TV group Joj and an archive of the group's film and serial production. On June 14, the application of the streaming service Disney+, which is among the most successful brands in the industry worldwide, also entered Samsung TVs. During April, the Mírplay application was also added with premium content from the Mír Theater and the satirical group Tři tygre.
