Even with its social features, Spotify is one of the best music streaming apps to have on your phone or use on your computer. It's also Samsung's preferred music service. You can share your playlists and also see what your friends are listening to. However, the latter function is not available for mobile device users. But that is about to change soon.

According to the website TechCrunch Spotify plans to bring friends activity to its mobile app soon. This feature should be called Community. It has been available for the web version for some time (under the name Friend Avtivity). With it, mobile users will be able to find out what their friends are listening to.

The Community feature was previously discovered by leaker Chris Messina, after which Spotify itself confirmed it. According to him, the user will be able to view the listening activity of his friends and the update of their public playlists. In addition, we'll reportedly be able to see our friends' recent song selections as well as what they're actively streaming, which will be indicated by an animated equalizer icon next to their name. When exactly does the feature on devices with Androidin the iOS will get, he didn't say either, but apparently it will be in the next few weeks.
