Google introduced the Fast Pair feature for smartphones for the first time with Androidem 6 and higher in 2017. It is a proprietary standard that enables quick pairing of Bluetooth devices with a phone. After a slow rollout in the tech world over the past few years, the feature is making a comeback of sorts as it now offers better compatibility and speed.

As of 2020, it can also find lost wireless headphones and check the battery status of connected devices. At this year's CES, Google announced that it will be available on Chromebooks, TVs with Androidem and smart home devices. And now they're doing it with a system watch Wear BONE.

News in the Google system updates for the month of June mentions that on devices with Wear OS is now accessible Fast Pair feature. Since Fast Pair syncs all paired Bluetooth headphones with your Google account, it should now automatically show up on your watch with this system as well. It's unclear if Google is bringing the proprietary standard to all devices with Wear OS, or just those with Wear OS 3 (currently only using this version Galaxy Watch4 to Watch4 Classic).

However, once the feature arrives on your watch, you can simply pair it with your wireless headphones and listen to music while you exercise. And if your headphones support multipoint, it should be possible to seamlessly switch between your phone and the watch.
