As the world becomes more and more dependent on an internet connection, the thought of not having that connection becomes more and more terrifying. Although you can probably survive a short trip out of town without your favorite Spotify tracks, the same cannot always be said for navigation.

V previous article we showed you how to download offline maps to your device. Now let's take a look at some of the features that will allow you to get the most out of offline maps. The first is the option to rename offline maps. This can make it easier to identify which map is which if you ever need to delete some old maps. You rename the map like this:

  • To the right of the offline map, tap three dots.
  • Select an option Rename.
  • Tap the option Impose.

Additionally, you can automatically update your offline maps (actually, you should if you want them to stay up to date; plus, you'll lose access to them after a year without updating). To do this, tap the icon gear wheel at the top right of the page Offline maps and activating the option Automatic update of offline maps.

On the same page, you can also choose to which storage the offline maps should be downloaded (internal memory/microSD card), or via which connection (Wi-Fi only, or Wi-Fi or mobile network).
