The journey from trauma to healing can be long and complicated, but for some people, creativity can be used as a healing force. This is also the case for Brent Hall, whose photographic creativity helps him cope with a serious diagnosis.

In 2006, Hall was discharged from the US Navy. The reason was a diagnosis incompatible with his profession: post-traumatic stress disorder, to which later depression was added. He moved back to New Mexico and quickly realized that the more often he picked up his camera and went out into nature, the more connected he felt to himself and the more psychologically well-being he felt. In his words, it had therapeutic effects for him.

He started taking pictures and making videos about it with the help of his smartphone Galaxy. By posting these videos, he inspired others around the world to experience life in a new way, through a creative lens. Through photography, Hall wants to teach others what he learned himself - that working with your creative side can be healing. Of course, Samsung published a video about the story, which you can watch below.
