Considered by many to be one of the best video games of all time, The Witcher 3 introduced players to the card game Gwent. The pun, which originally appeared in Andrzej Sapkowski's book manuscripts, got a concrete form and, together with it, a large fan base. Here he was able to satisfy the standalone Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, however, the developers from CD Projekt have bigger plans for the successful game. After the separate story branch of Thronebreaker, Gwent has finally arrived on all platforms in the form of a roguelike. At the same time, the unexpectedly announced Rogue Mage on Androidu can play now.

Gwent: Rogue Mage presents completely new stories from the popular world, which managed to earn two series on Netflix, when this fall we are expecting a slight departure from Geralt, although still in the spirit of the Witcher tradition. The video game novelty takes you hundreds of years before the adventures of Geralt and Ciri, to the time when dimensions collided and the first monsters began to make their way into the medieval world. In the role of the mage Alzur, you set out on a mission to create the perfect weapon against a new enemy - the first warlock.

The game grafts Gwent itself onto the years-tested skeleton of card roguelikes. Each playthrough lasts about an hour, and during each of them you get the chance to practice strategic thinking not only during the gameplay itself, but also during decision-making in randomly distributed special events. You start each playthrough with twelve cards of your chosen faction, unlocking all cards and bonuses should take approximately thirty hours according to the developers. Gwent: Rogue Mage will cost you 249 crowns.
