Qualcomm posted a teaser on Twitter that teases "something big," with "it" expected to be unveiled soon. By all accounts, it will be a top-of-the-line smartwatch chip, manufactured using a modern process.

It hit the airwaves a few weeks ago informace, that Qualcomm will soon unveil two new Snapdragon watch chips Wear 5100 and Snapdragon Wear 5100+. Both should be manufactured using Samsung's 4nm process. It is most likely that Qualcomm intends to introduce these two chipsets soon.

For comparison: a Samsung chip Exynos W920, which the watch uses Galaxy Watch4 to Watch4 Classic, is manufactured using a 5nm process, Apple S7, "ticking" in the seventh series Apple Watch, is manufactured by TSMC's 7nm process and a two-year-old Snapdragon Wear The 4100 (+) uses a 12nm process. If Qualcomm's new watch chipsets are indeed manufactured using the 4nm process, they could have significantly better performance and longer battery life than existing watches with the system Wear BONE.

Thanks to the Exynos W920 chip and upcoming Qualcomm chipsets, we can in the field of watches with Wear OS see noticeable improvements. In addition, Samsung's collaboration with Google on the system Wear OS 3 already led to better integration between androidmobile phones and tablets as well as Chromebooks.
