It's been more than a year since the French Ubisoft promised to bring the successful multiplayer shooter The Division to mobile devices. However, since the announcement of Tom Clancy's The Division: Heartland, we haven't received any additional details about the game, instead the publisher came up with an unexpected surprise. Apparently, one developed game from the popular world is not enough for Ubisoft. There was an announcement of the new Tom Clancy's The Division: Resurgence, which is to transfer the popular game from major platforms to devices with Androidem in her full glory.
Even though it's a big announcement, the publishers offer only a scant amount of details. But Ubisoft promises a three-star affair that will not disappoint even die-hard fans of the original two parts from consoles and computers. Resurgence is supposed to take place during the first days of a mysterious epidemic, which forces the US government to deploy a special unit of agents on the streets of New York City, in whose shoes you too will become. Connoisseurs of the series will already know these events from the first part, but Resurgence will offer a completely new perspective on them.
Who is actually working on the newly announced game also remains a mystery. Studio Massive, the authors of the first two parts of the series, now have their hands full with a game from the world of Avatar and a Star Wars game that has not yet been fully revealed. It is not even clear when the game on Android will arrive. But Ubisoft promises an early start of testing its alpha version.
1: the game is not just for Android but iOS and that will be the case for iPadOS as well. The question is whether it will allow playing on MacOS with Apple silicone. The game will support game controllers, so launch that game on Mac with Apple the chip will technically not be a problem, but usually publishers prohibit it and sideload is punished by bans – PUBG, CoD, APEX…
2: the info about the game is not new at all, the game was announced at the same time as TU15 for Division 2. According to the original plan, in theory it should have been out a long time ago.
3: The Division is not a shooter, but an RPG looter shooter. More than one player has heard that it is a shooter and then wonders that three shots from a rifle are not enough to kill an enemy, but they have to knock out three magazines (heavy enemies on legendary difficulty).
4: The Division is not strictly multiplayer. From start to finish, the game is playable solo, even if you don't finish the Raid yourself and maybe you don't even start it, but that is the only activity that is mainly marketing anyway, similar to how in Destiny only a minority of players complete the raid. But yes, in addition to PvE, Division can also be played in cooperative multiplayer and in case in PvP mode or in PvEvP toxic mode, but PvP in Division 2 is almost dead and some people prefer to play PvP in Division 1, but even there it is worth almost nothing.
Thanks for the clarification and explanation.
