Samsung has announced the launch of a virtual playground called Space Tycoon. It is a space within the global metaverse platform Roblox where users can create and play games and share the experience of using Samsung products alongside alien characters in space, with its design and functionality inspired by the tycoon genre.

Samsung created this service primarily for Gen Z customers to provide them with an integrated metaverse experience where they can create and enjoy their own Samsung products. The Korean giant's goal is to allow Gen Z customers to "experience" the brand and interact with each other.

Space Tycoon takes place on Samsung's space station and research lab, where alien characters conduct research on the brand's latest products. It consists of three game areas: a mining zone for obtaining resources, a shop for purchasing game items, and a laboratory for manufacturing products.

In Space Tycoon, users can design a variety of Samsung products, from smartphones, using the resources obtained Galaxy to TVs and home appliances, and buy or upgrade game items. Users can let their creativity run wild by starting with real-life products and having them repurposed to become in-game "crafts". For example "jigsaw puzzle" Galaxy The Flip can be turned into a bag or a scooter, the Jet Bot vacuum cleaner into a hoverboard, or the TV Sero lifestyle television into a one-seater helicopter.

Space Tycoon will run simultaneously in 14 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese or Spanish. In the future, other functions will be added to it that will allow users to communicate with each other, share their creations or participate in exclusive virtual parties. In addition, Samsung through its website as part of the existing campaign #YouMake plans to hold special online events focused on coloring and collecting its products.
