Although Samsung offers its Galaxy Buds For the highest standard of water resistance in its entire line of headphones, that doesn't mean you can't "drown" them. This water resistance is mainly present due to sweat and rain.

IPX7 rating, which Galaxy The Buds Pro feature means the device is waterproof when submerged in fresh water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. However, the earphones may be damaged if used in conditions that do not comply with this standard. And that is, for example, even chlorinated pool water.

if they are Galaxy Buds Pro exposed to clean water, just dry them thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth and shake them to remove water from the device. However, do not otherwise expose the device to other liquids such as salt water, swimming pool water, soapy water, oil, perfumes, sunscreens, hand cleaners, chemical products such as cosmetics, ionized water, alcoholic beverages or acidic liquids, etc.

In this case, rinse them immediately with clean water in a container and dry them thoroughly by wiping as described above. Failure to follow these instructions may affect the device's performance, including sound quality and appearance, as water may enter the product's connections. Simply put, if you want to take your headphones with you to the pool or the sea, it's not a good idea, even if they're just splashed by a wave. After all, Samsung itself points out the following on its website:

  • Do not wear the device during activities such as swimming, playing water sports, showering or visiting spas and saunas.
  • Do not expose the device to a strong stream of water or running water.
  • Do not put the device in the washing machine or dryer.
  • Do not submerge the device in fresh water deeper than 1 m and do not leave it submerged for more than 30 minutes.
  • The charging case does not support water resistance and is not sweat and moisture resistant.
