Samsung recently started work on a new chip manufacturing plant in Texas, which will cost it $17 billion (roughly CZK 408 billion). However, the Korean giant's investment in the second largest American state does not seem to end there. Samsung reportedly plans to build up to eleven more chip factories here in the next ten years.

As the website reports Austin american-statesman, Samsung could build 11 factories for the production of chips in Texas for a dizzying 200 billion dollars (approximately 4,8 trillion CZK). According to the documents presented to the state, it could create over 10 jobs if it follows through on all its plans.

Two of these factories could be built in the Texas capital of Austin, where Samsung could invest roughly $24,5 billion (about CZK 588 billion) and create 1800 jobs. The remaining nine could be located in the city of Taylor, where the company could invest around 167,6 billion dollars (approximately 4 trillion CZK) and employ around 8200 people.

If all goes according to Samsung's proposed plan, the first of these eleven factories will begin operating in 2034. As it would become one of the most important investors in Texas, it could receive up to $4,8 billion in tax credits (approximately 115 billion CZK). Let us remind you that Samsung already has one factory for the production of chips in Texas, specifically in the aforementioned Austin, and has been operating it there for more than 25 years.
