Mark Notton, who spent 7,5 years at Samsung, announced that he is leaving it. Notton has held various roles at the company, leading mobile product and business operations in Europe as of 2020. So this is a rather sad one message.

For us, it was always quite a joy to see Notton perform at Unpacked events. He regularly spoke about Samsung's new products with appropriate enthusiasm, and from his demeanor it was felt that he was really speaking from the heart, and not according to a prescribed PR text (even if he really had one). Lately, it seems more and more that most of Samsung's communication during its launch events is filled with empty phrases, which is why Notton was engaging to listen to.

Since the next event Galaxy Unpacked is scheduled to take place on August 10th, we would definitely be looking forward to it even more if he performed on stage again. Unfortunately, that won't happen. But Notton had much more responsibilities at Samsung than just speaking at launch events. In addition to Gareth Hurley, who will work to support Samsung's growth across multiple categories, Mark Holloway will also take over his duties.
