Samsung already on Wednesday as planned Galaxy Unpacked will present the expected hardware news in the form of "benders" Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4, smart watches Galaxy Watch5 and the handset Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Most likely, of course, because nothing is official yet, other than the date. In this article, we will summarize everything we know about the next generation of the Fold so far.

Galaxy The Z Fold4 is expected to be very similar to its predecessor, both in terms of design and specifications. In terms of design, the phone is expected to be thinner (and slightly lighter, reportedly by 10g), with a thinner hinge and a less visible notch on the flexible display. The outer display should have smaller bezels and (like the inner display) a wider aspect ratio, with both said to keep the same size. The device should be available in three colors: black, green-gray and beige.

In terms of specifications, the next Fold should have a 7,6-inch flexible Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QXGA+ resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 21,6:18, and a 6,2-inch external display of the same type with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and with an aspect ratio of 23,1:9. Both displays will reportedly be protected by durable Gorilla Glass Victus+.

It will apparently be powered by Qualcomm's current flagship chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which is to be supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory. A 1TB storage variant will reportedly be available in select markets.

The camera should be triple with a resolution of 50, 12 and 10 MPx, while the second should be "wide" and the third will fulfill the role of a telephoto lens (with 3x optical zoom). The sub-display selfie camera should have a resolution of 16 MPx, the standard selfie camera (on the external display) will then be 10 megapixels. The equipment should include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers or NFC. There is also support for the S Pen stylus and wireless DeX, or water resistance according to the IPX8 standard.

The battery should have a capacity of 4400 mAh and should of course support fast charging with at least 25 W. Despite the same charging speed, the phone should charge faster than its predecessor (specifically, it is said to charge from 0-50% in half an hour, while the "three" will only "catch up" to 33%) during this time. Apparently it will be the operating system Android 12 with One UI 4.1.1 superstructure.

From the above, it follows that the next Fold will not really differ much from the current one, the main improvement will apparently be a faster chip and camera. It is still appropriate to add information about the price, which will certainly not please many. Fold4 will reportedly cost more than its predecessor, namely 1 euros (roughly 863 CZK) in the version with 45 GB of internal memory and 700 euros (about 256 CZK) in the variant with 1 GB of storage (for comparison: 981 and 48 GB variants of the third The Fold went on sale for 600 or 512 euros).
