They were last year Galaxy Watch4 the only smartwatch that ran on a brand new operating system Wear OS 3. This year, however, will be different. So that they can compete with a number Galaxy Watch5, competing smartwatch brands will launch new watches this year with Wear OS. One of these brands will be Oppo.

The new watch of the Chinese company should bear the name Oppo Watch 3 and now theirs have penetrated the ether rendery. According to them, the watch will have a square and slightly curved display with a rotating crown on the right side and will be available in black and silver. The silver variant has what appears to be a leather strap, while the black one has a silicone strap.

The watch should be powered by Qualcomm's new watch chip Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and software-wise they will apparently be built on Wear OS 3. They should also have an OLED type display with an LTPO panel and variable refresh rate for longer battery life.

Although Oppo has not yet announced when it will introduce its new watch, unofficial informace they talk about tomorrow. It's unclear at this point if they will be available outside of China, but if they are, Samsung will face increased competition.
