Samsung started releasing the first a few days ago beta version na Androidu 13 built One UI 5.0 superstructure. The phones of the current flagship series are the first to receive it Galaxy S22. The update does not bring a major redesign of the user interface, but it does come with one change that many users may not like. As the website noticed 9to5Google, Samsung has removed one of the quick settings toggles from the notification bar.

With One UI 5.0, Samsung phones will only show five quick settings icons in the notification bar. The number of quick settings shortcuts varies by smartphone brand, but on Pixel phones, the notification bar appears in a 2×2 grid, and when fully expanded, in a 4×2 grid. In contrast, Samsung shows six quick settings icons and a 4×3 grid when the bar is fully expanded. The Korean giant displays relatively more shortcuts than Google smartphones.

With the new superstructure, Samsung reduced the number of shortcuts in the notification bar from six to five. Interestingly, the 4×3 grid has remained intact, and now the icons are spaced further apart, which doesn't quite look good visually. At the moment it is not clear why Samsung decided to remove one icon from the notification bar, when the purpose of the bar is to contain the shortcut as much as possible and thus provide quick access to some functions. We can only hope that this illogical change will not appear in the final version of the superstructure.
