As you may not have missed, Samsung unveiled its new flagship foldable phone yesterday Galaxy From Fold4. Compared to its predecessor, it brings some improvements, but is it enough to make it worthwhile for you to switch to it from the "three"? Let's find out by comparing the features and specifications of both jigsaws.

Galaxy At first glance, the Z Fold4 looks practically the same as its predecessor, as it has a metal body, Gorilla Glass protection on the front and back, and a flexible display inside. However, on second glance, improvements begin to appear. The phone boasts stronger Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and is also thinner. In addition, it has a slightly wider internal and external display (while maintaining the same size). As before, it is waterproof according to the IPX8 standard.

The Fold4 is powered by a chipset Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which is significantly more powerful and stable than the Snapdragon 888 that beats in the third Fold. The software is built on Androidu 12L, whose user interface and appearance are adapted to folding devices. The camera has probably received the biggest improvement. The phone boasts a 50MPx main sensor and an improved telephoto lens, which now has a triple optical zoom (vs. double). However, its resolution is lower, namely 10 MPx (vs. 12 MPx). The resolution of the ultra-wide-angle lens remained the same – 12 MPx.

Samsung has also improved the sub-display camera. Thanks to the new arrangement of subpixels in the area around it, it is now less visible, which the user will appreciate especially when consuming media. On the contrary, the device has not seen any changes in the field of connectivity and battery. So if you want better performance, a better shooting experience, a thinner (and lighter) body, the upgrade is worth considering. However, if you don't want these improvements, you can stay with Galaxy From Fold 3 at least another year. If you have an older phone, last year's Fold is worth more because of the price.
