Behind the doors of the headquarters of Samsung Electronics lives an employee who came from a planet very far from ours. Through a series of mysterious events, this creature became a top-secret engineer for Samsung, helping it develop innovative technologies that fuel users' creativity while enhancing their personalities. Meet Samsung's new virtual avatar named G.NUSMAS.

G.NUSMAS is a small, blue alien with big, beady eyes, born from a joke people make whenever Samsung introduces a new, unique product - that they had to hire an alien to design and develop such innovative technology. At first glance, it somewhat resembles the now iconic mascot Alza Alzák.

Samsung created its new virtual avatar to connect with younger generations of customers, specifically millennials and Gen Z. By the way, the name G.NUSMAS (if you haven't figured it out yet) is "Samsung" spelled backwards. Its home planet Nowus-129, 100 million light-years from Earth, is in turn the backwards address of Samsung's headquarters in South Korea, Suwon 129.

Samsung plans to release a series of short videos detailing the alien's story, starting with its birth and "accidental" arrival on our planet. In them, G.NUSMAS will sing, dance and interact with various devices of the Korean giant. It will make its debut at IFA 2022, which begins on September 2. Consumers will be able to interact with it through social media, metaverse and other digital channels. So, do you like the green Alzák or the blue G.NUSMAS more?
