Apple unveiled its iPhone 14 lineup at its September event, where it's the biggest, best-equipped, and most expensive model iPhone 14 For Max. If we look for its biggest competitor among classic smartphones, it is certainly her Galaxy S22 Ultra. How do these flagship phones stack up against each other?

Display

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6,7" LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display that has a screen-to-body ratio of 88,3%. Its resolution is 1290 x 2796 pixels and the density is therefore 460 ppi. The adaptive refresh rate ranges from 1 to 120 Hz. It reaches up to 2 nits of brightness, is capable of HDR000, and the company describes its glass technology as Ceramic Shield. The Pro versions finally learned Always On as well.

Samsung Galaxy The S22 Ultra has a 6,8" Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 90,2% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 1440 x 3088 pixels and the pixel density is equal to 500 ppi. The brightness reaches 1 nits, the adaptive refresh rate starts at 750 Hz and goes up to 1 Hz, HDR120+ is also included. The glass is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and Always On is a matter of course.

Performance and memory

Apple equipped only the iPhone 14 Pro with the new A16 Bionic chip, which is manufactured using 4nm technology. It is a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. Galaxy The S22 Ultra is distributed in Europe with Samsung's Exynos 2200, which is also made with 4nm technology, but is 8-core. Variants with 8 or 12 GB of RAM are available, new iPhone will offer 6GB of memory in any variant of the selected memory. Both have 128, 256, 512 GB or 1 TB.

Battery and price

The iPhone's battery is still unknown, but it can be assumed that it will be the same as the one in the previous generation, which had a capacity of 4 mAh. But there is fast charging (352% in 50 minutes), USB Power Delivery 30, MagSafe wireless charging 2.0W and Qi magnetic wireless charging 15W. Galaxy The S22 Ultra has a 5mAh battery with 000W fast charging, 45W Qi wireless charging and 15W reverse wireless charging. USB Power Delivery is in version 4,5.

The resistance of both is according to IP68. iPhone but it can handle 30 minutes at a depth of 6 meters, whereas Galaxy for the same time only in a meter and a half. At least it is worth mentioning the weight, which is 240 gau for the iPhone Galaxy 228 gram. iPhone it is lower, narrower and thinner. The new iPhones do have a satellite SOS function, but we won't be using it here anyway. It has a redesigned cutout, but Galaxy it only has a punch and adds an S Pen. So although the devices are in direct competition, they are very different.
