Whether you've owned a Samsung device forever or just upgraded to one of today's best phones, you know that the company ships them with tons of pre-installed apps. But these take up precious phone storage and make it difficult to access the apps you actually use. The good news is that you can remove these apps to get a clean environment without unnecessary clutter.
Whether you're looking to switch from Samsung's default apps to an alternative, or just want to get rid of bloatware, here are a few things you should know about removing manufacturer apps. It's true that you can uninstall most of the Samsung apps that come pre-installed on your phone, but not all of them can be removed.
Some applications can only be turned off. When you turn off an app, it's not removed from the device, it's removed from the apps screen. A disabled app will also not run in the background and will no longer receive any updates. Some applications, such as the Samsung Gallery, are crucial for the functioning of the device. You cannot delete or disable them. The best thing you can do is hide them in some hidden folder so they just don't get in the way.
How to remove Samsung apps
- Find the app you want to uninstall.
- Long press its icon to display the context menu.
- Select an option Uninstall and tap to confirm OK.
- If you don't see the Uninstall option, at least there is an option Turn off.
- By selecting it and confirming it, you disable the operation of the application.
If the context menu does not contain either Uninstall or Shut down, it is a system application necessary for the device to run. Shopping cart icon Remove means just removing the icon from the desktop. Remember that disabling certain apps may affect the phone's system functions, so read the pop-up window carefully before confirming.
The list of applications behaves just like the desktop, where you just need to hold the icon for a longer time and then select the desired option. You can also delete applications Settings -> Application, where you select the one you want and then choose Uninstall (or Remove). Of course, you can always reinstall deleted apps from Google Play or Galaxy Store.
Brilliant tutorial. I appreciate that you put a lot of work into it 🙄
This was written by a fool
Thanks for this awesome tutorial because I haven't figured out how to uninstall apps on my phone in five years and I've already had so many that I'm running out of space. And it was only through this highly specialized procedure that I found out how to get rid of them. I'll just add that this amazing and genius series doesn't just apply to Samsung apps, but even to all others. thank you
I mean, this is really a "genius" or moron article. 😒😴😴🤮🤮🤮
exactly 😂😂
It's like we're all idiots 😂
An article about nothing, sure. However, it displayed a lot of ads, which served the purpose. Shame on you, editors.
Does anyone really do this for a living?
Thanks a lot for the instructions, I definitely didn't know this.
I don't understand this article... why actually uninstall something???
In my opinion, the number of reinstalled applications from the One UI superstructure is minimal, and most of the necessary...
I wonder how the competition is doing, especially Jabko... 🙂
Shit…
Thank you for the guide, thanks to you I have found a new meaning in life. I finally know how to do it.
I would also like to ask for instructions on how to turn off the phone.
I haven't been able to do it for 5 years. 😄
It smells like clicks and earn ads. Mentally!
