If you've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 in the past few days, you may have noticed that patch 1.6 added an arcade minigame called Roach Race to the game. CD Projekt has now released this as a separate title on Android, and for free.

Roach Race is an auto-runner game that at first glance resembles the iconic Google browser game Dino T-Rex. It has simple pixel graphics and the gameplay is simple as well, which consists of avoiding obstacles, whether living or inanimate, in order for the player to reach the next level. Even if it is not a world-beating game, it can serve more than well as a filler of free time. And it is played on the score, so players have an incentive to return to it.

Roach Race is the first official minigame for Cyberpunk 2077, but it has already featured several fan-made minigames, such as a variation on Tetris. It's likely that in the future CD Projekt will add more arcade games for distraction to the game, which has sold nearly 2020 million copies as of December 20.
