On Wednesday, September 7 Apple introduced the new iPhones 14 and in the past few days we brought you their phone comparison Galaxy S22. But when comparing prices, one wonders if it would really be worth paying such incredible money to have a phone with a bitten apple logo when others are offering the same, or even more, for less.
There are many factors that determine the price of goods, especially if they are sold in markets around the world. But exchange rates also play an important role. Unfortunately for us all currencies continue to weaken against the US dollar due to the current state of the world economy. While this is certainly not the only reason, it certainly has a major impact on the pricing of the new iPhone 14 in Europe, and they are, in a word, insane.
iPhones 14 pro in particular are almost 30% more expensive in Europe than in the United States. It seems Apple he just wants people to buy more like just now instead Galaxy Samsung's S22, i.e. phones that came out six months ago in the post-Covid era and for "normal" money. As it turned out in the comparison, they are not behind in terms of equipment.
iPhone 14 Pro is 30% more expensive in the EU
iPhone 14 Pro prices start at $999 in the United States. But you will most often pay EUR 1299 for the same phone on the old continent. At today's exchange rate, that's $1 because one dollar equals one euro, so it's almost 299% more. The same is true of the iPhone 30 Pro Max, which starts at $14 in the US. You will pay 1 euros for this device in Europe, which is of course equivalent to 099 dollars.
Czech prices are 33 CZK per iPhone 14 Pro and CZK 36 for iPhone 14 Pro Max in both cases in the basic 128GB memory variant. The Czech Republic is thus beaten even more because we do not have the euro. In net conversion, the prices at the time of writing the article should be approximately CZK 31 and CZK 894 respectively. Here, the prices of the iPhone 35 Pro and 577 Pro Max are approximately CZK 14 more expensive than in other European countries with the euro. Are you going to the US? Buy it iPhone, you do.
You also have to take into account the issue of tax and the fact that we have a two-year warranty by law, which is not the case in the USA. Even so, many would certainly be happy to give it up just to pay less. Even if the increase in price was caused by inflationary pressures, which all other companies more or less resist (Samsung raised the price of its jigsaws by only CZK 500), Apple he will do anything not to raise prices in his homeland and rather repeat himself elsewhere. His home market is crucial after all, which is only logical when customers all over the world are fighting him even for these exorbitant prices.
Apple however, it gives hesitant customers a great reason to ditch the iPhone 14 and buy instead Galaxy S22, and even in the Ultra variant, because it is the most direct competitor of the 14 Pro model. Or Galaxy From Flip4, as Samsung itself tries to push us in its advertisements. Galaxy The S22 Ultra can be purchased in the EU on Samsung's website for a price starting at 1 euros, in the 249GB version it will cost 128 CZK, i.e. practically what it cost iPhone 13 For Max than him Apple replaced with his overpriced novelty. So, are you really set on going for the new iPhone?
33490 CZK is strong, but 31990 is OK. He split one better dinner for two…
The prices are completely fine, the author has no idea that in the USA the prices are $999 without VAT and that the same price here would be €1200, in the CZ you have 21% VAT, I don't know what you would like the same prices as in the Czech Republic with 20% VAT.. That would then be in Hungary with 27% VAT apple he earned 7% less than everywhere else if he had the same retail everywhere, and I'm not saying that half of Europe would shop there..
"the author has no idea that in the USA the prices are $999 without VAT"
in the United States there is no value added tax as we know it, it is a sales tax
it doesn't matter what you call it, the $999 is the same as the base for calculating taxes, which is determined by each state
What's going on? Supply and demand!! After 10 years of use apple I really won't go to the competition just because of the difference of 2000 kc, who wants to buy it and it doesn't matter if they can afford it at the moment or not. There are possibilities. Personally, I will buy the 14pro, but even if it costs 5000 more than the Samsung, I'll just settle for it. Because of that, I won't leave apple watch, apple tv, macbook, and all this is worth a Apple it's just you
So enjoy thousands of extra fees for nothing
So you are a decent consumer sheep 🤣
Oh, maybe it would be worth considering that the author of the article should remember the fact that there is no VAT in the USA, which justifies most of the price. Not that I would be happy that it would increase the price, but that is simply something that we have to reckon with on the old continent, and it doesn't matter if it is Apple, or a car, or whatever. We simply have VAT here. Dot. Yes, it probably could (or rather should) cost a few thousand less, but to write an article like this? I thought LSA was not Blesk and other boulevards, obviously I was wrong. Shame...
This is not lsa, there are probably some other editors here, because they have an understanding of lsa and I write there that $999 is without VAT. And VAT basically also exists in the USA, but there are many states and each one has its own tax, so the listed prices are without tax and each state has retail + that tax. It's like someone presenting the price of a product in the EU, they also give €1000 without VAT, because Slovakia has 20% VAT, Hungary 27%, Poland 23%, the Czech Republic 21%, and that company needs to have the same profits or sell it to HU, or to SK, therefore the price is calculated without VAT!!.
Everyone complains about year-on-year price increases, but when I compare the 14 for 256gb, which cost me 37k, it's still cheaper than iphone xs 256gb which i bought four years ago for 38k. So for me it's a pretty big upgrade and it's still the same "class" and actually cheaper than it was iphone 4 years back.
Why should I buy two Maxis and 256s just fine
Od Apple nothing is allowed in the barracks.
Shane
And that's why you go to the pages of Apple. Typical owner logic Androidu. I assume you don't even have the barrack
After all, this is SAMSUNG MAGAZINE you brooms
This is Samsung's site you idiots 🤦🏻♂️ So you just described yourself
An article about nothing that is just an advertisement to buy the S22. Well done LSA.
Oh, that's it. The article is not on LSA. It has been redirected. That's ok. But the article is still about nothing as always.
Your articles have been worth a lot of shit lately... I guess I'll go to the competition 😁
Let's wait for the new flagship from Samsung, I bet the price will be similar there.
Hello, just seeing you android icons make me feel sick, I'd rather have Chinese soups and dry rolls than use them android.
And I have it anyway iOS coloring book for children.
such antics of Karl VXXXI make me sick
I will definitely run to buy a Samsung S22 Ultra to save 4,5% on the price of an iPhone.
Thanks for the most absurd nonsense I've read in the last 10 years.
You can get the S22 ultra for NOK 27 new. Obviously, numbers and logic will not be your strong point Apple slaves 🤓
Soon he won't have gas and electricity, but you deal with bullshit and useless things here. Humanity really deserves to be ripped off
The clickbait is terrible 😭
Such an article makes no sense to me 😂, it's the same song over and over apple vs Android... Apple growers will always buy apples even if the price is who knows what... Put up with it already 😂
