Apple presented his line of iPhone 14, and even he understood that a small phone, even with the appropriate equipment, will no longer interest anyone. We only had two years here iPhone mini, while now it has only replaced the Plus model, i.e., on the contrary, a large phone. It is also likely that we will soon say goodbye to the 6,1-inch display.
Small phones are not synonymous with unequipped phones. After all Apple will pay CZK 5,4 for an iPhone mini with a 20" diagonal (which is also the current case for last year's iPhone 13 mini model). But the trend of small phones is simply gone. People want large diagonals to have a proper view. If we look at Samsung's portfolio of phones, it can be seen here as well.
Phone models Galaxy and the diagonals of their displays
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: 6,8 inches
- Galaxy S22+: 6,6 inches
- Galaxy S22: 6,1 inches
- Galaxy S21 FE 5G: 6,4 inches
- Galaxy A53 5G: 6,5 inches
- Galaxy A33 5G: 6,4 inches
- Galaxy A23 5G: 6,6 inches
- Galaxy A13 5G: 6,5 inches
- Galaxy M53 5G: 6,7 inches
- Galaxy M23 5G: 6,6 inches
- Galaxy M13: 6,6 inches
The smallest representative of new Samsung models is Galaxy S22, which is rather paradoxical, because it belongs to the highest range. But it has to stand against the basic iPhone, so it has its place in the portfolio in a certain sense of the word. But between its size and model Galaxy The S22+ is a relatively big difference, where you can only reach for the lightened last year's top series Galaxy S21 or lower series Galaxy A, which is the only one that offers a slightly wider selection of models, not so diagonal.
Jigsaw puzzles are the solution
Apple by cutting the mini models, he kept only two display sizes, i.e. 6,1 and 6,7 inches. Let's not talk about the SE models, they should have cleared the field a long time ago. Even with him, the gap between the two sizes is quite large, but his smaller models are popular not because they are small, but because they are more affordable than larger alternatives. Logically, this is also the case with Samsung, when you pay significantly more for practically the same equipment. The price difference between Galaxy S22 and S22+ are high 5 thousand.
On the one hand, we want physically small phones, but to have the largest possible displays. The obvious solution is foldable phones. So not those in the form of models Galaxy But rather from the Fold Galaxy From Flip. A really small phone by today's standards, however, has a really big 6,7" display. It is slightly beaten in terms of equipment, but on the other hand with regard to Galaxy The S22+ even has a 500 CZK lower price tag, when it will cost you 27 CZK in Samsung's online store.
If we look at it with a sober eye, the numbers here are quite clear. Small classic phones won't be wanted in a while - we'll see how it does iPhone 14 compared to the iPhone 14 Plus, and with the expansion of folding clamshell phones, we may have a new market leader here. Not for nothing Samsung yours Galaxy Z Flip4 stands directly against the new iPhone 14. But the added value is clear here – small dimensions, large display, unique design and interesting functions based on it.
Me, but not everyone. 🤣
Also…
So I'm not a fan of large displays, the size of the iP12mini and iP13mini is absolutely ideal. It doesn't tear pockets and it's easy to store, not like folding phones and phones over 6 inches, you can put a tablet in your pocket right away 😉
I don't agree with the statement that everyone wants big displays. I certainly don't. I was looking for a replacement for the Xperia XZ2 compact, but there is no similar phone. In the end, I took the slightly larger Zenfone 9 out of gratitude, but I probably wouldn't put up with a bigger one.
Each? how dare you I certainly do not belong to everyone and it offends me! I don't care about big displays or puzzles. Everyone should wake up and stop living some stupid virtual life and watching nonsense on tiktok etc...
Well, well…..take it easy
But the virtual world is often better because you can easily block such bastards as you. It is true that in the real world that is also a possibility, but who is to dig a hole in the forest and burn the evidence.
Everyone really doesn't, I have 13 mini and I am extremely satisfied. If I should have android, I would probably go for Sony, which goes a bit against the grain and although it offers large screens, the phones are narrow.
I will join the discussion. Maximum satisfaction with iP 12 mini. Especially in the summer. I didn't even know about him in the sorties. On my bike, it fit perfectly in the small bag that I have under the seat. Until recently, the SE was sold with the iP8 design, and although it was not small in size, the display was really useless. Next to him is a 12 mini king. In my opinion, the absence of 14mini is a shame, but the sales probably didn't really become too much.
I think a lot of people would like a smaller phone, but they just aren't available and if they are, they're expensive. I was looking for a replacement for the XCOVER_4 and I didn't want anything bigger, quite the opposite. I bought an S22. But if A22 was made, I would take that one.
I will join the other commenters and have to disagree with the statement that "everyone" wants a big phone. Maybe most, but certainly not all. I had a Samsung Galaxy A71 with a 6,7″ display and I don't want such a big phone anymore. It didn't fit anywhere, it pressed in my pocket. I now have Galaxy S22 with 6,1″ and I have to say that the size is perfect. I have a tablet for a larger screen, but I mainly require "mobility" for a mobile phone, and for me that also lies in compact dimensions. Folding phones may be the way to go one day, but at the moment they are terribly thick devices (when folded) and also not suitable for the pocket. So, I hope that the device with dimensions around 6″ inches will be here for some time.
13 mini… I hope in vain for 15 mini🤷🏻♂️
A compact phone in the size of 13mini is the best size. Personally, I think that if it was priced as an SE, it would be bought as an SE Apple Watch. However, I have a hunch that Apple he kept the mini variant because he will follow it up with the SE 4th generation in two years. Which would make sense to me. Next year, all flagship phones will have the Dynamic Island, and probably no phone with a notch. The implication is that the 13mini will be around for a while, but I could be wrong.
Is it really necessary to use a lie in the headline for traffic?
On the other hand, if even this didn't work for you, try writing an article with the title next time:
All our readers are dicks - more in the article.
I guarantee it will click even more meat. 🙂
It's different in the Czech Republic, so I unfortunately had to buy a Samsung instead iPhone 13 mini.
I had an S9+ until recently, which is the same size as the S22+. When I bought a new phone, compactness was the main factor for me, because I didn't want such a big "cow" anymore. And nowadays there isn't much to choose from, there's the zenfone, until recently iphone and now luckily the S22 I decided on. Rather than making fewer compact phones, it would take the opposite.
Apparently I'm not "everyone", I have 12 Minis and I'm extremely satisfied. I had a classic 12 for a while and it's too big... I'm just wondering if I should buy a 13 Mini while it's still fairly new or stick with the 12 Mini and hope that Apple he will understand in a few years.
If you don't mind the battery life of the iPhone 12 mini, I don't think it makes sense to buy the 13 mini. AND Apple 99% will not return small iPhones.
I'm probably weird, but I want a big screen. I carry my phone in my bag anyway, so no problem 😃
