It was at the beginning of August that Samsung introduced a new duo of its foldable smartphones in the form of Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. It is the second mentioned that has now arrived at our editorial office. Enthusiastic feelings still prevail, because the novelty really has something to offer.
Samsung's foldable phones have long had a great reputation for their build quality, and the new ones are no exception in this respect - they are thought out down to the last miniature component to offer a truly extraordinary experience. Everyone will find what they need on them. Galaxy Z Flip4 builds on the proven and popular design concept and adds a whole range of improved features, such as a better camera or a longer-lasting battery. Of course, the extremely compact design remains.

The phone arrived to us in its 128GB memory version in the more settled black or Graphite color. At the same time, it is the most popular version, which is still pleasant, but it does not catch the eye as much as, for example, Bora Purple. We also have gold and blue available. Since we are also expecting the delivery of the iPhone 14, against which this Samsung smartphone is directly built, it will be interesting to watch the comparison not only of the appearance, but of course also how Apple debugged his iOS 16 and how the superstructure works compared to it Androidu 12 in the form of One UI 4.1.1.

Of course, the packaging of the phone is quite cheap. Apart from the phone, you will find practically only a brochure, a SIM removal tool and a USB-C cable. But no one is probably waiting any longer, the question is rather whether we will soon see some more cuts. Galaxy Z Flip4 is then placed in the box in an open state, so that its display is not unnecessarily strained by bending during long-term storage.

The stripes on the shielding of the antennas, which are completely symmetrical on each side of the device, are very good. Too bad the SIM card drawer and UCB-C connector are misaligned. If they were in the middle of the phone frame, it would look better after all. After the first moments, we have a little problem with the power button. We usually press on the joint instead of on it. It is precisely because of him that it is perched perhaps too high, but of course it is a matter of habit and after a while it will certainly not even occur to you. There is still time to test the cameras, performance and other essentials, although we can already say that the Flex mode is simply great and a lot of fun.
I wouldn't enjoy opening the phone all the time. When folded, it resembles a powder box, with which basically nothing can be done (in this condition), and when unfolded, it is an ordinary phone. Fold makes more sense to me.
Otherwise, of course, it is not, nor has it ever been, competition for the iPhone.

I can't help but disagree. Just opening the phone is really fun, even if it was a ham for a few crowns, so this is exactly what Samsung has mastered. The question of appearance is of course subjective, I don't use powders, so I don't even know what they look like.
