Google Photos got a few small but useful tweaks over the summer news, and now the American tech giant has started releasing more for them. Specifically, there are a few improvements to the Memories feature and the collage editor.

Memories appear on top of the photo grid and are getting the biggest update since they launched three years ago, according to Google. They will now include more videos, with the long ones being shortened to only "highlights". Another new feature is the addition of fine zooming in and out to photos, and in October, Google will add instrumental music to them.

Memories also get different graphic styles/designs. Those from well-known artists Shantell Martin and Lisa Congdon will be available initially, with more to come later.

Memories get another feature, which is the ability to share them with friends and family. According to Google, it was the most requested feature by users. While androidova version of Fotok is getting it now, on iOS and a web version is due "soon". And actually one more thing – you now swipe up and down between Memories, similar to YouTube Shorts.

And finally, a collage editor has been added to Photos. It builds on the application's existing capabilities to select multiple images and "shuffle" them into a grid. Now you can choose different designs/styles and drag and drop to edit the collage.
