Display division Samsung Display has registered a trademark in South Korea for two new devices with pop-up displays. These devices are specifically named Slidable Flex Solo and Slidable Flex Duet.
This spring, Samsung showed concepts of a device with a slide-out display during the Display Week event, and one of the prototypes was called Slidable Wide. The new Slidable Flex Duet trademark could theoretically be associated with this concept, but at this point it's difficult to predict how Samsung's flexible display portfolio will change and evolve in the coming years. Let's recall that the Slidable Wide prototype had a flexible display tucked inside the device, which can slide out from the sides to expand the display area.

As for the consumer market, the Korean giant has so far only used its flexible display technology to develop devices that fold in one place, i.e. series models Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip. However, it has been experimenting with several other form factors for some time now and may introduce a flexible laptop next year. Considering that laptops are flexible by their very nature, this new model should replace the keyboard with a giant touch screen stretching over the entire surface of the device.

Samsung has said in the past that it won't introduce any new folding, sliding or rolling devices until the Z Fold and Z Flip series prove their viability. However, after several years on the market, the models of these lines have already proven themselves, at least judging by the number of pre-orders and sales figures, and are slowly and surely becoming mainstream.
Market watchers expect that as many as 23 models from different brands could appear on the foldable smartphone market next year, which could mean that Samsung is finally ready to expand its portfolio of foldable devices. Whether the next step will be a "flexible" laptop, a dual-flexible device, a tablet with a slide-out display, or something else entirely, we can only speculate at this point.
