When DJI is mentioned, the vast majority of people probably immediately think of drones, as this manufacturer is most famous for them. However, DJI has also been producing first-class gimbals or stabilizers for mobile phones for many years, which make it much easier to shoot videos or take photos. And just a few minutes ago, DJI ceremonially introduced the new generation Osmo Mobile stabilizer to the world. Welcome DJI Osmo Mobile 6.

With its new product, DJI focused on improving ergonomics compared to the previous generation, but also on improving compatibility with large smartphones or advanced software functions that help users shoot the most effective videos possible. We are specifically talking about the improvement of the motorized stabilization, which according to DJI is absolutely phenomenal and, above all, reliable under any conditions. You will also be pleased with the improvement of ActiveTrack technology, which enables smoother or, if you prefer, more stable tracking of the marked object even when it moves from side to side or rotates, for example. Overall, thanks to this upgrade, the given shot should be much more cinematic, as the technology can keep the focused object in the center of attention on the recording much better than ever before. What is quite interesting is that, while with the previous generations of Osmo Mobile, DJI did not have a defined target group, with this model series it is clear that it targets iPhone owners. The Quick Launch function was introduced into the gimbal specifically for iPhones, which, simply put, immediately starts the accompanying application after connecting the iPhone to the gimbal and the user can start recording immediately. Just for the sake of interest, this news is supposed to reduce the time required for preparation and subsequent filming by about a third, which doesn't sound bad at all.

DJI Osmo Mobile can be used in a total of four stabilization modes, each suitable for a different type of footage. There are both modes where the gimbal keeps the phone stabilized at all costs regardless of the position of the handle and the like, as well as modes where the axes can be rotated using a joystick for the best possible dynamic shots of static objects. In addition to the functional modes, other gadgets are also available in the form of the ability to shoot Timelapse, panoramas or other similar types of videos. So once a person learns how to use a stabilizer, thanks to its wide range of uses, he is able to shoot almost anything he can think of.

As for the above-mentioned compatibility with larger smartphones, thanks to the fact that DJI used a larger clamp on the new product, the stabilizer can now accommodate not only large phones, but also smartphones or smaller tablets in cases. If you are interested in the endurance of the stabilizer on one charge, it is around a very respectable 6 hours and 20 minutes, which is definitely not enough. All this at a comfortable weight of 300 grams, which means that it is only 60 grams heavier than iPhone 14 Pro Max, with which it is of course fully compatible.

If you like the new DJI Osmo Mobile 6, it's available for pre-order now. Its Czech price is set at 4499 CZK, which is definitely friendly considering what it can do.
