Sometimes it's like a merry-go-round in the world of modern technology. To put it simply: One day everything is postponed, the next day everything is put into perspective, and the third day everything is released. The original news about the delay of the third beta of One UI 5.0 unnecessarily dramatized the situation, because Samsung just started rolling out for the models Galaxy S22 with Exynos chips across Europe, including Germany and Poland, third One UI 5.0 beta.

The latest update adds a new slideshow-style immersive story feature to the Gallery and a slightly redesigned wallpaper selection screen. The lock screen wallpaper can also now be changed directly from the lock screen by long-pressing the display, a clear copy of Apple's solution in its iOS 16 and it's quite unfortunate because you can easily call this function even in your pocket and completely throw away the whole screen. Samsung might finally realize that not all that Apple presents, it is bound to be good.

Fix animations

As usual, beta testers of the new version can expect more bug fixes in all areas of the build, including improvements to the animation of returning to the home screen and overlapping animations when closing folders. Another bug that should be fixed is the one preventing apps from quitting when users use interface navigation gestures while running multiple apps on the lock screen. And the issue with the transparency of the Calendar widget should also be resolved.

So that you can download this new firmware update to your phone Galaxy S22, you must of course be beta testing participants. Otherwise, you have to wait, like us, for Samsung to officially release the first public version of One UI 5.0. Only he knows when that could happen, but we still believe in the end of October, the beginning of November at the latest.
