The new beta brings the biggest change to the wallpaper design in years, with Samsung clearly taking inspiration from the system iOS 16. Long press the lock screen to directly change the wallpaper or customize the lock screen widgets. You can choose a single wallpaper or use a set of backgrounds. It is also possible to change and add shortcuts on the lock screen informace about contacts, clock and date widget and notifications.

You can further customize the clock widget on the lock screen with six fonts, five styles and ten font color presets (five solid colors and five gradients). You also have the option to choose your own solid or gradient color from a color swatch or spectrum. The widget can even be set to automatically adjust to the wallpaper color (dark or light).

You can choose either icons only or icons with details to display notifications. You can also set their transparency and text color. There is also a new smooth animation effect when the device switches to and from Always-on mode. Samsung has also sorted the wallpapers into three categories – Color, Gallery and Graphic.

In addition, the Korean giant has slightly improved the design of the user interface for fingerprint registration. There is now a green ring around the fingerprint registration area for better focus. Another minor novelty is the option to turn off the automatic optimization function in the Device application Care. Finally, Samsung fixed the problem with the animations and their transitions - they are now much smoother.
